I recently did a beauty segment on iheartradio for this killer scrub. If you’re one of my followers that live outside of the USA can’t listen to iheart, I am posting the recipe because you don’t want to miss this one!
It’s Summer and as much as we love the sun and the heat let’s not kid ourseleves, even if your layering the SPF, the weather takes a toll on our skin. And while being a sun goddess is great too much time spent outdoor during this season can tend to get a make our complextion look and feel a bit dull and dry.
The next time you look in the mirror and think, man, my skin just needs some extra oomph but I really don’t want to head to the spa and get a facial, you’re in luck because you need not look any further than your kitchen.
I use this fabulous How 2 Girl tip a few times a month to keep my skin looking fresh and awake! It’s simple, quick and inexpensive and you’re skin will thank you for it I promise!
What is this miracle tip? It’s Do It Yourself Peach facial scrub! It’s a fantastic exfoliate and it’s going to get your face looking fabulous and glowy in no time and more importantly… under $5!
Here’s why it works so well, the natural Vitamin C in the peaches acts as a skin brightener, giving you the same results you would have gotten from a $100 facial at the spa!
Now here is the simple and easy recipe. You’re going to mix up 2 pitted peaches in your blender or if you want an arm workout in a bowl with a spoon, add in 1 tablespoon olive oil and 1 tablespoon brown sugar and mix.
Olive oil is one of my favorite things on the planet because not only does it make everything it touched taste amazing, but it is beyond moisturizing and can be used as a body oil when you really need to get your skin smooth, and in this case it is going to get your face nice and hydrated.
The brown sugar acts as natural scrub, getting rid of all of that surface dead skin that washing leaves behind.
Get your face wet and apply, leaving on 10 minutes and wala, say hello to your stunning new complexion! You didn’t have to leave home and the best part it, it cost you less than $5! Gorgeous skin without breaking the bank? Sounds like a win win to me!
